Welcome to Kārearea Team
Team Kārearea is part of the Totara Senior Syndicate and consists of two Year 5-6 composite classes. Our learning is based on our school values. Growing a sense of leadership and responsibility within our students is fundamental. Students leading their own learning and making use of our unique surroundings are key to our sense of belonging.
Our Learning Programme
Our programme incorporates our beautiful outdoor surroundings and links to authentic contexts wherever possible. The school STAND values and our focus on wellbeing underpins everything that we do. As these are embedded further students are able to take charge of their learning and develop their understanding of their wellbeing needs. There are so many opportunities for students to become leaders and grow in confidence. Kārearea is a great place to learn and grow together.
