Wakefield School Pool Cook Strait Challenge
The Challenge: To swim the length of the Cook Strait over the Wakefield School pool season. This equates to 1040 lengths. Although that may sound a lot, if you swim every day for our minimum opening time of 151 days it is only 6.88 lengths a day.
The idea of this project is to encourage the local school children to take on the challenge and we will be encouraging their participation as much as possible. However anyone can take part in the challenge and we hope as many members of the community as possible take it on to make it a true community event. The challenge can be taken on as individuals or as family teams.
To take part in the challenge please e-mail me at email@example.com or call me on 541 9102 and I will register you and send you out the record sheet and the sponsorship forms. Alternatively entrance forms can be collected from the school office, all you will need to do is e-mail me your details so I can add you to the participant list.
